Extended Grief--What Does it Mean? The Challenges of Becoming Unstuck
Lisa Strahs-Lorenc, Career Counselor, Author
Do you celebrate your life? Are you happy? I help change lives through career counseling, workshops, bereavement support and self-published books for a cause. I am here to support, motivate, and celebrate YOU!!!
Susan Capurso, an End-of-Life Doula and Lisa Strahs-Lorenc, a Bereavement Specialist tackle the issue of extended grief. What does this mean? After a while (could be months or years), the majority of those who have lost loved ones take charge of their lives and move forward. This looks different for everyone--could be a new home, could be a vacation, could be getting out and dating, but there comes a time when that individual is ready to make some life changes.
However, those who are "stuck" experience something very different. They are unable to make any moves, any changes, and more serious, may exhibit some grave signs of difficulty just taking care of themselves. Susan and Lisa explore this in greater detail, and offer some suggestions. There are no easy answers to this, since no matter what those around may say or suggest, it is up to the individual to decide. This is very scary, frustrating and concerning, as there may be little loved ones or friends can really do.
Please share this with those who may benefit and we always welcome comments and feedback to this and all of our videos.
Lisa and Susan continue to offer individual counseling, workshops, online courses, support books, and additional products that address the End of Life and Beyond.?Each have websites: www.eastenddoulacare.com, EastEnd.Academy and www.familiesmoveon.com. Subscribe to our channel at:
