Welcome to Extend Your Reach! A newsletter designed to bring you the best tips, tricks, and resources to help you grow and succeed in both your personal and professional life. In this newsletter, we will be highlighting five different areas of focus to help you extend your reach and accelerate your growth.?

As customary, let’s lead off with the book of the week. I’m gonna throw “Death by Meeting” by Patrick Lencioni at you. If you’ve followed me on LinkedIn for awhile then you’ve seen me post about making your meetings count, minimizing meetings if possible, and the cost per minute of all of the meetings we sit through. This book is nothing short of a blueprint for leaders who want to eliminate waste and frustration among their teams, and create environments of engagement and passion.

The small business of the week is RB Enterprises in Joshua, TX. They specialize in selling top of line thermal optics and accessories. These optics are applicable to hunting, military, and law enforcement scenarios. My favorite thing about their website is the Journal where you can go to find quick snippets about thermals and how they can impact different aspects of the world today. If you find yourself in the market for a rifle optic to deal with a pesky feral hog situation then pick up the Adder. If you want a thermal monocular to see in low light situations or dense brush then try the Fuzion.?

Now, let's focus on personal development via solid content and insight on LinkedIn. One person you should follow is Heath Anderson. Heath is a Navy Veteran, outdoorsman, an exceptional marketer/copywriter, always the hardest worker in the room, and understands that the Toyota 4Runner is a superior vehicle. Heath always has insightful posts about the outdoors, the military, as well as many other facets. Fun fact is Heath and I had a little lawn mowing business when we were kids and my wife and I actually visited a neighborhood that I used used to mow with Heath when we looked to buy our house. We still live in that neighborhood.?

The podcast of the week is the ever so amazing Huberman Lab with Dr. Andrew Huberman. The Huberman Lab discusses neuroscience : how our brain and its connections with the organs of our body control our perceptions, our behaviors, and our health. They also discuss existing and emerging tools for measuring and changing how our nervous system works. Dr. Andrew Huberman is a tenured Professor of Neurobiology and Ophthalmology at Stanford School of Medicine. His laboratory studies neural regeneration, neuroplasticity, and brain states such as stress, focus, fear, and optimal performance. This episode should get you started.

Finally, let’s get to the best part of this newsletter and the Lord’s word.?

John 4:35, KJV: “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”

This one is incredibly interesting to me because the fields were grain and grain doesn’t turn white for harvest. Jesus was speaking to his disciples and talking about all of the Samaritans in white robes coming out from the city through the fields to see him after hearing the testimony from the woman at the well.?
