Happy Friday, everyone. Here we go as promised.
Clear, impactful, and brief.
1. A BOOK THAT I RECOMMEND - Radical Candor by Kim Scott. Radical Candor is a management philosophy based on Caring Personally while Challenging Directly. Are you ready to learn a framework that shows how to be both a better leader and a better colleague? Don’t skip out on this one. “It’s not mean. It’s clear.” Amazing book and I wish I had read it years ago.?
2. A SMALL BUSINESS THAT YOU SHOULD SUPPORT - Chamberlain’s Leather Milk is a great company and they have some of the best leather products on the market. They understand your desire to be the protector of your leather goods and to do that you need superb leather care products. Most folks don’t realize with proper care leather can survive several generations. Visit their website and order a bottle of the Formula No. 1 and then go to town on your dress shoes, boots, gloves or designer handbags. Whatever you own. Just condition it with Leather Milk. “This product will save your hide.”?Shop local and support small business.
3. A PERSON YOU SHOULD FOLLOW ON LINKEDIN - Steve Rosenbaum is the undisputed KING of Followups. I’m not kidding either. His “Flawless Followup” system stays ahead of me via multiple avenues and keeps him at the front of my mind when I have an appointment set with him. If you have a sales team or if you use a CRM or other software you are likely leaving money on the table and missing opportunities that are falling through the cracks. Let him fix that for you. Give him a follow. You’ll love his posts.?

4. A PODCAST THAT'S GREAT - The FoundHers Club by Cortney Gumbleton. If you don’t know Cortney then you’re missing out. The least you can do is listen to her via podcast and be prepared to walk away leveled up in life. This podcast is where you'll hear the incredible stories of the unapologetically ambitious women founders who are redefining the wild world of entrepreneurship. From overcoming adversity to exploring lessons learned in failure, you’ll hear real conversations from the innovative women who are disrupting their industries across Texas. Check out Episode 2 with Elyse Dickerson from Eosera. Solid story and episode for sure!
5. A VERSE FROM THE BIBLE OR QUOTE ABOUT THE BIBLE - “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.?By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” - John 13:34-35. This is the one thing that was mentioned verbatim by Christ in the Bible that he wants us to do. Love your neighbor the way he loves us. He doesn’t say love them unless they are or aren’t _________. He just says love them...no matter what. We all miss the mark there I guarantee it. Kick it around and think about it.?

1 年I know the illustration is for example purposes, but I saw a program on tv (I think History channel?) that highlighted the weapon. The extended reach is important (like a trebuchet) but the velocity comes from the projectile curving/bowing and that causes a lot of the velocity.

1 年Good post but... not so sure of the accuracy in that illustration. Maybe include a "don't try this at home" warning. ??
