SBM celebrates our teams by hosting pizza parties and team-building activities. With a bit of imagination, our sites create events to accommodate their team size and budget. One of our Arizona sites is notorious for throwing creative celebrations, including a salsa competition. These memorable events allow our teams to bond, leading to a constructive work culture.

It’s no secret that employees enjoy being acknowledged for their hard work. SBM understands that recognition programs are a great way to celebrate those with exceptional performances. SBM’s monthly bonus program incentivizes our associates to meet various KPIs, including attendance, safety, and professionalism.

3. Family Incentives
At SBM, families are a focus inside and outside the workplace, and we often extend our appreciation to our employees’ families. Last year, we distributed nearly 14,000 backpacks full of school supplies to the children and grandchildren of our employees through our annual Backpack Program. SBM also provides a gift check to each associate every Thanksgiving to put toward a holiday dinner.
4. Professional Development Opportunities
Another way to express gratitude is by providing professional development opportunities where employees can learn new skills while creating career paths. Our Manager in Training program helps aspiring leaders foster a career path within the company. Participants learn SBM core processes, build their understanding of management philosophies, and chart the course for their professional careers.
