Exposing those who are after money, wealth or fame!
Have you noticed those people around you who are running after money, wealth or fame? You see them among your relatives, friends, neighbors and connections of social media… especially on LinkedIn. They post pictures and news of them boasting every now and then. When you see such boastful posts, you have one of the two feelings. Either you feel jealous about it and you also join the race by posting and boasting, or you learn how to ignore them and start removing yourself from them and their influence. Ask yourself, which one are you.
The objective of this post is to expose their reality. In front of everyone they are busy showing off that they have everything and are very happy. But the moment they see or stand in front of someone who is more wealthy or famous than them, they feel very low and inferiority complex overtakes them. They feel miserable. They feel that they need more. Nothing seems to be enough for them. Nothing truly satisfies their needs. They forget that, those people, who once ran after same wealth and fame, are gone. And they could not take anything with them. They might think that they are doing all of this for their children, but they forget to prepare for the time when they too will be gone. They become careless about the things they’ll take with them in their graves. In life, they have no time to raise their children as a good Muslim. So, when they reach their graves, they will have no one to pray for them. Their children would be fighting with each other to accumulate what he left for them of wealth and property. After few days, their own children will most likely forget them. Because they’d become busy for the same rat race. This is the only value their children learnt from them.
Now… Are you also running the same rate race? See what Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala told us: “You prefer the worldly life, while the Hereafter is better and more enduring. Indeed, this is in the former scriptures, The scriptures of Abraham and Moses”. (87: 16-19)
