EXPOSING FLAWS
Fundamental Laws that are actually Fundamental Flaws
Introduction to Fundamental Laws
Ah, the fundamental laws! Those perfect, unchangeable rules govern our universe, right? Or are they? Dive into this satirical look at what we often consider to be unbreakable truths and find out if they are indeed laws, or simply flaws with a fancy title.
These aren't just those highfalutin scientific laws; no, we're talking about every day "laws" that people throw around like candy at a parade. And, just like candy, they might look sweet, but they can leave a bitter aftertaste. Let's unravel these so-called laws and expose them for the sweet nothings they really are.
FLAW ONE: Grow Your People to Grow Your Business
Oh, the classic. Grow your people, and your business will magically flourish. Sounds lovely, doesn't it? But wait, what about you, the leader? Aren't you part of the equation? Or are you just supposed to stand back, wave a wand, and watch your team become superstars while you're stuck at square one?
Leaders, it's time to face the music:
"If you want your team to go further, you must go first."
Roll up those sleeves, dive into the trenches, and show them how it's done. Forget growing your people to grow your business; grow yourself, and everything else will follow.
FLAW TWO: The Law of Attraction
Ah, the glamorous Law of Attraction. Just visualize success, wealth, and that beachfront villa, and it will all come true. How convenient! What they forget to tell you is the "action" part in attrACTION. Perhaps that's in the fine print?
Visualization is lovely, like a fairytale, but without some good old-fashioned elbow grease, that's all it remains: a fairytale. Stop dreaming and start doing. Unless, of course, you believe that staring at a picture of a Ferrari will make it appear in your driveway. In that case, good luck!
FLAW THREE: Perfection is a Destination
Perfection—a lovely word, isn't it? And so misleading. Perfection isn't a destination; it's a direction. A never-ending, frustrating, pull-your-hair-out direction.
Today's perfect is tomorrow's outdated. What's deemed perfect now will be less than perfect in the blink of an eye. Chasing perfection is like chasing a mirage; the closer you get, the further it moves away. So, stop running after something that doesn't exist and start pursuing progress. After all, perfection is just a flaw with good marketing.
Conclusion
These "fundamental laws" aren't laws at all; they're misconceptions wrapped in shiny paper and a bow. Grow your business by growing yourself, replace attraction with action, and trade the illusion of perfection for the reality of progress. And the next time someone throws a "law" at you, take it with a grain of salt—or a whole salt shaker.
FAQs
Are these laws universally accepted?
Nope, they're just popular sayings that many people have bought into without looking at the flaws.
Is the Law of Attraction completely false?
It's not entirely false; positive thinking is valuable. But without action, it's like a car without fuel.
How can I grow my business without growing my team?
It's not about ignoring your team; it's about leading by example. Grow yourself, and your team will follow.
Is perfection achievable?
Perfection is a moving target. What's perfect today may be flawed tomorrow. Aim for progress instead.
What's the takeaway from this article?
Challenge conventional wisdom, question these so-called "laws," and find what really works for you.

EXPOSED?
Have you ever felt exposed??
How did it feel??
Was it because of an integrity gap within yourself??
Or that you were being given an opportunity to stand firm on your values and boundaries??
And how do you show up in that??
Is it possible that when we have a less-than-glamorous trait about ourselves that comes to light, we can get really disappointed in ourselves and get all aboard the ol’ self-uppercut train??
'Bish you’re no unicorn gangsta, yo a horses ass fraudster. Teaching and flapping your chops off about all this happy positive stuff while you’re here having an internal-that's-about-to-become-external meltdown??
“And stop being so lazy and spell words in their entirety using the correct vernacular while you’re at it.”?
And so the spiral continues.?
But is that really helping?? Us or anyone around us?? Or just piling more crap onto a probably-not-even-that-giant of a poo explosion that we’ve created for ourselves??
I was recently reminded that if you take the T away from the back of?
?
?? heart ???

What do you hear??
And if our heart hears everything we say, suggest, think, and feel about ourselves, what would you most love for that to be??
This self-loathing that we're convincing ourselves is ‘motivation’ to be better??
‘No pain no gain’??
Or something else?? Kindness, compassion... and might that be what real courage is in this moment now??
It's easy to fly off the handle.? It's discipline to be measured and tempered – especially toward ourselves.?
