"Exporetomada": Brazilian trade shows are back!

In Brazil, 2.000* trade fairs runs every year, 742* - big fairs- take place in S?o Paulo. We are talking about 8,2 millions of visitors, 65.000 exhibitor companies from all around the world. After 200 days of events totally stopped and prohibitted by the governing autorities (even malls and restaurants opened with restrictions) the government allowed trade shows and events to take place again in S?o Paulo.

In order to mark the "coming back season", the Expo Retomada - trade show to test security protocols, on October 14th-15th, was the first one after quarentine - which is not still over, however the country is relaxing the measures gradually to reactivate the economy. The idea for this trade show was from FERNANDO LUMMERTZ, founder of Rede Feiras, and PAULO OCTáVIO PEREIRA DE ALMEIDA, consultant in Live Marketing, with important associations of tourism, events, exhibitions (ABRACE, ABEOC, UBRAFE, AMPRO and SINDIPROM) and local players. The event was prepared and realized to follow all the security protocols against COVID-19, with measures as: measuring temperature, online registration, visitors divided in groups for 3 hours each, use of mouth masks and social distancing - all working smoothly and being respected by the attendees.

Brazilian people have passion for meetings and what we saw in the last days was professionals meeting again who can’t wait to be able to do their jobs again. Renato Vertini, player, speaks for all: "We will keep in our hearts he hope that we will never need another edition of a ‘restart’ fair, however, if it comes, we are sure that once more we will be there: companies and people, ready again to make things happen, as always."

We are still in the way develop a vacine but the local market is prepared to get back with safety even before the vacine comes. Next week, we will visit the ABCasa and ABUP, celebrated under the slogan "Yes, we will have fairs". And yes, all of us, are very satisfied because we love what we do and we want do it even better.
