New Life Community Church in Chicago is a multicultural, multi-lingual, multigenerational church with 27 locations. Sixteen of their multisite congregations are the result of an intentional Restart church merger strategy. Executive Pastor John Palmieri will share New Life’s strategy and best practices about multisite and church mergers.

Church mergers were occurring in an unprecedented way across North America pre-pandemic with over 40% of multisite campuses coming through a merger. The pandemic accelerated the merger option for many of the 250,000 stuck or struggling churches across North America. Many are discovering they can have a new beginning and/or a new pastor by merging with a multisite church or with a church planter needing a facility. In this workshop you will learn how to navigate the church merger conversation with the authors of Better Together: Making Church Mergers Work—Expanded & Updated.

(9:30-11:30am) Becoming a Movement-Making Church Through Multisite & Mergers -Dan Zimbardi & Ron McCoy?

Sandals Church in Riverside, CA, is a movement-making muItisite church of 13,000 with 13 locations. Most of their congregations are the result of a proactive church merger strategy.

Executive Pastor Dan Zimbardi of Sandals Church and Executive Director Ron McCoy of The ROGO Foundation will share how they are revitalizing and relaunching churches through an intentional multisite church merger strategy.?

One of the biggest obstacles to overcome in multisiting is finding affordable facilities at ideal times and locations for church gatherings. Building a team that is aligned and working effectively together is essential for achieving your ministry strategy. For any team maintaining a healthy and thriving culture takes intentional effort but when you layer on the complexity of multisite ministry, being purposeful about your culture is more critical than ever. In this session, Jenni Catron will share the 5 keys to building a healthy team culture in a multisite context.?Jenni is a leader who loves “putting feet to vision,” and has served on the executive leadership teams of two multisite churches: Menlo Church in Menlo Park, CA and Cross Point Church in Nashville, TN. WORKSHOP #3:

(2:30-3:30pm) Church Multiplication in a Small Town – Patrick Quinn

By loving their community and prioritizing an intentional community-first ministry and mission, Century Church has grown significantly since its 2016 founding. Launched as a multisite campus from the largest United Methodist church in Alabama, and then released to be a church plant of the UMC, Century Church is now an independent, community-centric, network-building Wesleyan church in the small town of Pike Road (population: 10,000), about 15 miles southeast of Montgomery, AL. Century Church seeks to help revitalize small/medium size communities and serve as a resource for church plants. Over its 7-year life so far, despite the normal challenges of being a new church, the COVID pandemic, learning to do church completely outdoors for the past three years, and going through a denominational split—Century Church is a thriving congregation loving boldly on the town of Pike Road! This workshop will provide a pathway to help church leaders flourish in small towns and rural communities.

THURSDAY (March 7) (8:45-9:45am) How to Maximize the Church Online Experience for Church Multiplication - Matt Grove

Pre-COVID about half of the estimated 7,000+ multisite churches in North America, delivered their sermons by way of video. During COVID most of the 320,000 Protestant churches in America delivered their total church service by video. In this session, Matt Groves (RESI), Director of Product Management at Resi (the leading, go-to company for digital delivery), shares how to maximize the church online experience as well as connecting multiple campuses together with video in time-efficient and cost-effective ways.
