Exploring Zoomtopia
It was just a few days ago that the Maverick US team attended Zoom’s, Zoomtopia 2018 where we revealed our new Zoomroom kits for the first time. This was the result bringing some of our leading vendors including Crestron, Dell, Huddly and Logitech together to create new, simple solutions which can service the exploding meeting room market and be deployed consistently across Maverick international regions.
We showcased all four types of Zoomrooms: the executive office/huddle room (small), conference room (mid), boardroom (large) and training room (very large) at Zoomtopia 2018. All four rooms featured video, audio and wireless content sharing, however each one serves a different purpose meaning the hardware and design of each Zoomroom is chosen to specifically represent what would work best for that room. It was a simple demonstration of how meeting room technologies just need to work, be intuitive and just scale up the meeting experience we have on our desktop VC calls to a larger scale.
Each solution carries a 90 day 24/7 concierge support package and the option to add additional services including installation and training – all available Globally and provided through our services business.
New Zoom features for Zoomrooms
As regular users of Zoom, Maverick and the wider Tech Data business were as excited as many of the end users in the room at some new in programme technologies revealed which are coming down the line.
The multishare feature will let multiple users in a room share content on the displays, making the collaboration experience as seamless as possible. When using the multishare, users can control how the content is seen and distributed across the screens.
It’s new audio processing software is able to provide the ability for iterative audio enhancements. With Zoom Audio Processing, each microphone’s audio stream is received individually and mixed in real-time, enhancing the active speaker’s audio with echo cancellation and noise suppression.
Users can start a Zoom Rooms meeting by clicking a button on their Zoom mobile app, which offers the same integrated experience for users that many of the established players have achieved.
