Many customers follow retailers and brands on social media, taking in different products and styles. This may encourage visits to stores or online purchases, but I formed the belief that increased sales could be sparked by placing content in an in-store context.

Our Sydney-based survey revealed that most shoppers feel neutral about their confidence when choosing outfits independently. Furthermore, 59% said their purchases were significantly influenced by in-store style inspiration like videos, mannequins, imagery, or rack pairings. These findings highlight the importance of providing customers with outfit ideas while they shop.

When presented with the idea of scanning QR codes for outfit inspiration and related product suggestions, 48.5% of respondents were enthusiastic, with a further 15% being open to the concept.
