Exploring the Pulse of Innovation: A Recap of The Vienna Startup Conference 2024

I recently had the pleasure of attending The Vienna Startup Conference 2024, organized by the Startup Network Europe, founded by Adam Fulham . Since 2021, they've hosted over 150 conferences for European startups, bringing together tens of thousands of founders, investors, and industry leaders. This year's conference was hosted by Startup House and sponsored by TikTok for Business , HubSpot For Startups , and Remote , was no exception.

The event gathered a lot of Startup Founders, CxOs, investors, and more, creating a truly buzzing atmosphere. It was an enriching experience from both content and networking perspectives.

Panel Discussion Highlights and Takeaways

The conference featured a captivating panel discussion with prominent figures:

• Roman Doppler , VP Marketing & Growth at Smarter Ecommerce (smec) shared valuable insights on marketing, emphasizing that only 25% of people are willing to exchange contact details for lead magnets. He highlighted the importance of creating mobile-optimized, "snackable" content and leveraging influencer marketing in today's marketing landscape.

• Peio Elustondo , Head of Growth Marketing at Anyline presented a fascinating case study of their Tire Scanner app. This app captures tire data through photos, including brand, size, and other details. Peio pointed out that only 1% of people buy tires online due to uncertainty about compatibility. The Tire Scanner not only solves this problem but also allows companies to build a rich data set for further service development. Read Peio's takeaways!

• Elena FILIP , CMO at Tokinomo and Forbes 30 under 30, provided insights from her work and showcased inspiring case studies.

A Diverse B2B Marketing Landscape

The discussion also explored the evolving B2B marketing landscape. There were diverse opinions on where companies should focus their advertising efforts. While some panelists leaned towards traditional platforms like LinkedIn , others saw potential in platforms like TikTok and Meta .

Beyond the Panel: Networking and Connections

The conference wasn't just about informative discussions. The friendly atmosphere at Loft & Lumia facilitated excellent networking opportunities.

I had the pleasure of reconnecting with Dale Kirkwood , Founder of a very promising HelloDexter and my old time friend - Volodymyr Prykhodko , a bright mind and ideas generator.

And I was honored to make valuable new connections with Manuel Gahn , Founder of Startup House Austria ?? ???? , Samuel Hopko , Co-Founder & Cloud Expert and Daniel Raj?an , Co-founder & Cloud Architect, both from Plectrum Engineering , based in Martin, Slovakia.

Final Thoughts
