Exploring the Power of Community

Over the past several months since my last newsletter, I've had the opportunity to explore various platforms and software, including artificial intelligence assistants and methods, to expand my capacity to create community. My goal has been to generate genuine traction for myself and my brand, Welcome to Humanity. With a rich career spanning 36 years as a psychiatrist, I have worked across numerous modalities in the U.S., including inpatient and outpatient settings, nursing homes, residential centers, orphanages, homeless shelters, halfway houses, rehab centers, methadone clinics, jails, prisons, and more. Additionally, I have experience in utilization review and expert witness work in courtrooms.

As a podcaster, keynote speaker, and author of two books (with a third on the way), I have built a significant email list. However, despite these accomplishments, I had yet to centralize my offerings, making it challenging for those interested in learning more about or from me to connect. With guidance from trusted coaches and mentors, I recently discovered the Skool app (spelled S-K-O-O-L), where I have now started an exciting new community.

When I began my psychiatric practice, I envisioned myself as the wheel's hub, helping direct patients to the appropriate resources while fostering a community of like-minded individuals, including clinicians and patients. Although my initial attempts to create a cohesive community were unsuccessful, my focus on building connections and supporting those navigating life's challenges has remained steadfast.

In 2007, I launched a website called Addict Support to address addiction issues by bringing together caregivers, clients, loved ones, and family members. Despite its potential, it did not develop into the community I envisioned. However, with the Skool app, I am excited about the possibility of finally establishing a central community where people can come together to share their thoughts, ideas, and experiences. The platform offers proven mechanisms to help individuals stabilize today's chaotic world.

The benefits of this program are extraordinary. Skool, partly owned by Alex Hormozi—a renowned figure in lead generation and entrepreneurial success—provides a progressive platform designed to foster community. My community is based on the "True Voice" technology, the "Welcome to Humanity" movement, and the "Moss Method," a comprehensive approach that includes meditation, gratitude, nature, creativity, nutrition, hydration, movement, service work, pampering, sleep hygiene, pet care, and even cold showers and celery juice. I'm also open to discussing other methods people use to support stability and well-being.
