Oyo, once valued at $10 billion, has embarked on a transformative journey to regain its footing in the hospitality industry post-COVID-19. Currently valued at $2.3 billion, the company is focusing on strategic growth initiatives:

  • Financial Outlook: Despite a valuation decline, Oyo forecasts substantial growth, aiming to triple its Gross Booking Value to ?31,704 crores by FY28.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Transitioning to a franchise model, streamlining operations, and cutting non-core businesses like weddings and cloud kitchens.
  • Financial Health: Oyo targets debt-free status by FY26, supported by significant EBITDA growth projections.
  • Challenges: Addressing legal issues and revenue recognition concerns are critical for Oyo’s future IPO plans.

A New Strategy for Growth

Oyo is aiming to raise $80-90 million (?667-750 crores) from HNIs and family offices, with commitments already reaching $24-30 million (?200-250 crores) as of early June. Additionally, discussions with larger investors, such as Malaysia’s Khazanah, could bring the total round size to $150 million (?1,251 crores).

Ritesh Agarwal OYO-B Corporate Hotels please re-check and re-verify your hotels are they really trustable and reliable or are they following the corporate standards. I had recently stayed in OYO Super Town House 1126 Roadway Inn, Dwarka Sector-8 and it was my worst ever hotel experience and i don't know how AICRA - All India Council for Robotics & Automation can trust these kind of vendors please I request you please do verify all the accomodations otherwise don't advice or recommend your exhibitors. Even the OYO manager doesn't take the responsibility of the booking and saying "ab jo b he yhi milega jyada expect mt kro ap" Really disappointed this time i prefer people don't book OYO for B2B please go to Airbnb or MakeMyTrip but never ever trust OYO they only focused on making money they doesn't have any concerns with customer satisfaction. I don't know if they are doing this in B2B what's happening to regular users.
