Exploring Gender Equity In The Energy Sector

I have been busy recording some great new episodes for my 'Beyond the Pay Gap Figure' podcast - including some fascinating guest interviews, providing you with insights and valuable learnings on reducing the pay gap figure.

First up is Sarah Clark EMBA CEng MEng ! Here is a little bit about her:

Throughout her career, Sarah has held a variety of process engineering and project management positions in the UK and Poland, which include design, offshore and site-based roles, as well as corporate consulting positions within O&G and military sectors.?

Sarah is passionate about the promotion of women in business and women in engineering and volunteers her time leading Wood's gender equality group and co-leads AXIS Network promoting gender parity.

In our discussion on this week's podcast, Sarah talks about the origins and evolution of the AXIS Network, which aims to create inclusive networking spaces for women and promote gender equity in the energy sector.

Our discussion highlights slow progress in gender pay equity. Sarah stresses the need for senior leadership commitment to make a real impact, rather than leaving diversity and inclusion to HR alone.

Sarah and I?also discuss the challenges of attracting young talent to the energy sector, given its reputation and competition from other industries.
