Exploring Fernhill's natural wonder and adventures in woods
Through this article I am excited to share my nostalgic experiences of my young age memory. In my school days our weekend routine will be going through the nearby woods collecting dry branches. The seeds which falls from the eucalyptus trees is part of our playing activity. We used to spin them like a top. Accompanied by our uncle, we would embark on short walks through the forest, savoring the tranquility and the fresh, earthy scent of the woods. Each walk was an adventure, filled with laughter and the thrill of discovery, creating memories that have stayed with me ever since.”Growing up in the serene town of Fernhill, Ooty, was a magical experience. We used to enjoy walking a lot because its a part of our play activity. Do I really enjoy walking now!
Our weekends were a delightful blend of outdoor games and nature exploration. These simple yet joyful activities were a staple of our weekends. . We spent our days climbing the small tree in front of our house and collecting mosses from the forest. Visits to the nearby deer park were a regular treat, where we marveled at the variety of birds and the graceful deer. The small coal train that chugged up and down the hills was a source of endless fascination. My cousins and I would explore the railway tracks, balancing on the iron grid and making echoing sounds in the tunnel when the train was not around. These adventures, filled with the beauty of nature and the joy of exploration, are stories I now lovingly share with my child, keeping the spirit of those days alive.
