It was 5:30 pm the other day, I was heading to the mosque for my evening prayer when I heard a soft voice behind me.
It was my 6-year-old son, "Can I also join you, Abbu?"
"Sure, come along!"
As we drove to the mosque, he shared, "Abbu, I was out most of the day today."
"Good for you. I was home most of the day, just working from home," I replied, contemplating the open skies, a rare sight during my workday.
As I was driving and navigating through the traffic, a light bulb went off, I realized this could be good opportunity to introduce Timeline visual to my son.
After reaching back home we drew this Timeline for my son's day -
"Abbu, this looks so fun! Can we do this for your day as well?" he eagerly asked.
"While my day wasn't that exciting as I was home most of the day but this can be a good exercise," I responded.
We went on to craft a timeline for my day as well to compare..
"Abbu, see, you went out just a couple of times, but I was out for most of the day," he keenly observed.

"Ha Ha, looks like I need to start going out more," I laughed.
I hope by involving our little ones in visualizing their daily routines, we not only deepen their grasp of this concept but also nurture their analytical skills. Plus, it creates precious off-screen moments for the whole family.
Your turn to Play
I hope this can give you some inspiration. I'd love to see what you come up with.
