Exploring the Best of Summer Camps: Where Education and Fun Collide!

This summer, we joined hands with local schools and NGOs to bring educational fun to children in our community.?

Imagine kids and teens diving into a world of learning that's anything but ordinary. It's like a summer adventure packed with cool activities that also sneak in a lot of learning. From fun science experiments to creative arts and crafts, these camps had it all.?

But it's not just about fun – it's about growing smart too! We believe that education is like planting seeds that turn into excellent skills and talents. With the support of Suceava Primary School No.1, the Euroactive Association, and the True Health Organization we turned this belief into reality.?

"Childhood, A World of Dreams" ???????????? ???????????? ?????????

"Childhood, A World of Dreams" Summer Camp at No. 1 Suceava Secondary School has ended, leaving behind a trail of unforgettable moments. During these fruitful days, approximately 60 students delved into a world of creativity and exploration, thanks to the support of the ASSIST Humanitarian Foundation, which generously provided a grant of 12,000 lei. This grant had a profound impact, lowering the participation fee by 150 lei for each child and opening doors to remarkable experiences.?

The students enjoyed five intense days filled with games, dancing, painting workshops, collage making, sewing, hiking, horseback riding, carriage rides, sports activities, and, in the end, the smiles and enthusiasm on their faces confirmed that all the proposed activities had the desired impact.?

One of the highlights of the camp was a vibrant collage workshop entitled "My Dream School," held recently. Sixty children participated, pouring their imaginations onto paper and showcasing their vision of the perfect school. Armed with a palette of crayons and crafting materials, the children's creative spirits flourished. They cut, colored, and glued their unique ideas onto a shared canvas, creating a stunning collage that envisioned their dreams and aspirations.

The workshop wasn't just about colors and glue; it was a space for their voices to be heard, and their dreams to take shape. As the collage grew, so did the sense of unity and friendship among the children.?

Programming Languages and Technical Skills at 'La Marginea ?colii'?

We were thrilled to join forces with the True Health Organization in Suceava who put together a remarkable program for the first edition of the ”La Marginea ?colii Summer Camp. A week filled with adventure and unconventional learning!??

Every day, alongside entrepreneurs, teachers, trainers, and specialists from diverse fields, the participants delved into essential topics for youth aged 14 to 24. They learned about health (nutrition and the importance of regular exercise), personal and emotional development, effective communication, IT and programming, neuroscience, and much more. The week concluded spectacularly with an outdoor movie night under the starry sky.?

With hearts full of joy and unforgettable memories, we proved once again that learning can be filled with excitement and surprises.?

Daniel Lup??tean, a software development engineer from the ASSIST Software company, helped participants explore different programming languages. He explained how these languages are closely linked to important technical abilities.?

"La Marginea ?colii" wasn't solely about technical advancement; it symbolized a significant step towards rural development, achievable through collaboration and partnership.?

  • Building a Strong Community:? Throughout "La Marginea ?colii," participants had the chance to connect with like-minded peers, creating lasting personal and professional bonds that extended beyond the camp.? ?
  • Diversifying Knowledge: Approaching a variety of subjects – from technology to health and communication – participants had the opportunity to explore uncharted territories and adapt to the evolving landscape.? ?

Bright Horizons for Underprivileged Children?

In collaboration with the EUROACTIV Association, we orchestrated a special initiative aimed at uplifting children from less privileged backgrounds within our county. These young learners, from various challenging circumstances and the care system, joined the "Build the Future Together" Summer School project.?

An EduMax representative helped us with the workshops held during this summer school, focusing on future skills.??

The session began with an icebreaker activity followed by a team-building exercise. On the topic itself, concepts like competence, ability, aptitude, and knowledge were discussed. Subsequently, the participants were engaged in group exercises centered around the key competencies for future professions. This allowed them to explore how they could adapt to the demands of the job market. The session concluded with a reflective individual exercise, where the children delved into the competencies that define them the most and those they aspire to acquire.?

Because the start of a new school year is around the corner, at the end of the workshop the ASSIST Humanitarian Foundation equipped 50 children with the essentials they needed for their educational journey. The backpacks we distributed notebooks tailored for dictation, mathematics, biology, music, and geography, well-stocked pencil cases, drawing pads, watercolors, and geometric sets – every item symbolized a step towards a brighter future.?

Education and Hope for Disadvantaged Children?

With a noble mission, the ASSIST Humanitarian Foundation joined efforts with the EUROACTIV Association, EduMax Association, and the FARA Foundation within the "Bringing Children to School" campaign on the 1st of September.??

Over 100 backpacks filled with school supplies and sweets reached children from disadvantaged backgrounds in Preute?ti and Basarabi, emphasizing the importance of education and the integration of these young individuals into the school system. During the event, the police officers spoke with students and parents about the essence of education in youth development and promoted crucial messages for eliminating discrimination. Additionally, special attention was given to road safety education and responsibility in using social networks.? Through these actions, the ASSIST Foundation and its partners contributed to preventing school dropout and associated social risks, ensuring a brighter future for disadvantaged children.?

Our partnership with EUROACTIV Association in this inspiring effort shows our dedication to closing educational gaps and planting seeds of hope. These children, through their participation in the "Build the Future Together" project, were offered not just supplies, but a belief in their own potential.?

Reflecting on the joy, laughter, and growth that unfolded in these past weeks, we look forward to the future with optimism and excitement. Stay tuned for more updates and stories from our wonderful journey.?
