Explore What's Meant For You
One of my favorite activities is to pick up a book, open it to a?random page and read a paragraph or two. Each?time?I discover something that makes me think, sparks questions, or inspires me in some way. If you've never done this, give it a try and see what shows up. It's fun!?
This week, I grabbed?one of my favorite books,?Dancing With the Gods?by Kent Nerburn. I opened it to page 103 where Kent said, "All artists know this: the more success you have, the more the public and those on the financial side of the arts will want you to repeat what you have done before...."
This reminded me of?many stories I have heard from authors, musicians, and actors who talk about being pigeonholed into one genre or role. Kent went on to say "...the essence of true artistic creativity is to be able to explore pathways you have never explored before."?
Are you holding yourself back from exploring your creativity? Maybe you are interested in singing, dancing, photography, fashion, interior design, comedy, podcasting, or poetry. Whatever activity makes your heart sing is calling you for a reason. It's one of your Creative Pursuits begging?to be explored. It doesn't matter if you'll be any good, if family or friends will support you, or if it will turn into something more. All that matters is that you are feeding your soul and exploring what is meant for you.?
I hope you are inspired to do more of what you love this week.?
