Construction Management ??

Construction managers do a whole lotta things. They play a critical role in planning, coordinating and executing construction projects; imagine everything from budgeting, managing sites, maintaining quality control, ensuring safety compliance, communicating with key stakeholders, and a bunch of other important things. They are great decision-makers and complex problem solvers. As they play in a high revenue field, their earning potential is quite high. And the industry is predicted to grow by 11% by 2030. In 2022, it reached $2.62 trillion! Does this role align with your past experiences or excite you to explore more?

VINCI :

Vinci is a French concessions and construction company founded in 1899 as Société Générale d'Enterprises. They are a world leader in concessions, energy and construction, active in more than 120 countries. Backed up by projects such as the €500 million contract to build the B247 highway in Germany, 2021 represented a significant improvement for Vinci with revenue growth of over €6 billion.

ACS:

ACS, Actividades de Construcción y Servicios, S.A. is a Spanish company dedicated to civil and engineering construction, all types of services and telecommunications. According to ACS’ CEO, Florentino Perez (yes, the same Florentino Perez), the excellent performance of the company’s businesses in 2021 saw it achieve its biggest net profit ever of €3.0 billion. Although one would expect, ACS did not participate in the renovation project of Santiago Bernabéu.

HOCHTIEF :

Hochtief AG is a German construction company based in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Hochtief is Germany's largest construction company and operates globally. The company was awarded the contract to undertake extensive expansion work at the Port of Rotterdam, which is expected to run until 2024.?

?All of these companies have a strong focus on sustainability, the demand of the present.

Logistics Manager ??

If this is what you choose, gear up for some dynamic and multifaceted responsibilities. Logistics managers coordinate with multiple departments to plan and allocate resources. For people who love strategy and are looking for roles which offer them the opportunity to do that, look here. You will be strategizing on everything from evaluating vendor relationships and negotiating contracts to exploring opportunities for process optimisation and cost reduction! Plus, you have an added advantage. B-School qualifies you for higher-level roles such as Director of Logistics, Supply Chain Manager, or Chief Supply Chain Officer. Super cool, right? Industry analysts expect the logistics industry to grow by 30% by 2030!

DHL is the market leader when it comes to supply chain and logistics. Their scale is so massive that they are about 50% bigger than the second biggest logistics European company Deutsche Bahn! Obsessing over improving the customer experience, doing continuous innovations in tech and introducing bold new ideas to optimise the delivery from point A to point B are the three critical principles DHL operates on. We love this obsession of theirs.

We strongly recommend their AIESEC Upgrade Program for 1st-year students looking for internships. They have around 100 slots each year, opening the window to a brilliant career in supply chain and logistics for you!

马士基 :

One of the world’s leading container ship operators, A.P. M?ller–Maersk (APM-Maersk) is a Danish shipping company founded in 1904. Although they expanded to the energy sector in 1962, diversifying from transportation and logistics services, most of the company’s revenue (roughly 70%) comes from transport and logistics services.

They secured a big deal in Brazil in 2021, which they deemed to be their largest-ever project contract. That's us saying to you to look into their Latin American division if you want to work there!

Deliveroo :

For supply chain and logistics, it’s not only about the legacy companies. We have got so many new players in the last ten years with the rise of food and local commerce, and for those of us who want to work for new-age companies, Deliveroo is a great option. You have a shot at faster career opportunity as companies like Deliveroo are still growing. Plus, you have the opportunity to create world-class products by solving interesting and complex problems.

Launched in 2013 – Deliveroo now operates in 12 countries and over 200 cities, with stylish headquarters based in the heart of London.
