Spring Training in Florida: The Grapefruit League, a 100+ Year Tradition

Did you know that 15 major league baseball teams have spring training in Florida? They call it the Grapefruit League, which has been going strong for over 100 years. Every year, more than 1.5 million people make their way to the Sunshine State to enjoy a game or two and the communities around the stadiums. We are lucky to have some stadiums close to our home base in Southwest Florida.

Tuscany is an incredible blend of vineyards, olive trees, and sunflower fields stretched out on a hilly landscape. Thanks to the arrival of foreigners – mainly wealthy Brits and Americans – abandoned barns have been brought back to life, and converted to retiree homes.

In recent years, Tuscany has enjoyed great media attention also thanks to books such as Under the Tuscan Sun. As a direct consequence, property prices have shot up tremendously. Today, foreigners who cannot afford Tuscany are moving to Puglia, another fantastic and up and coming Italian region…
