DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 01 : Chandigarh - Manali (Approx 320Kms – 10Hrs Drive)
Start your this exciting trip from Chandigarh. Meet at Chandigarh 1 day prior to the departure or early in the morning at 5:00A.M. Arrive Manali in the evening & check in at hotel. Time to fresh ‘n’ up & have some rest. Assemble at Dinning Hall for a small briefing about the tour. Explore the local Manali Market & Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02 : Manali – Rohtang Pass - Keylong (Approx 120Kms – 5Hrs Drive)
On your bikes from Manali to Keylong climbing over Rohtang Pass (3980 m) and enroute crossing several villages of Lahaul valley like Khoksar, Sissu and Tandi the confluence of Chandra & Bhaga Rivers. At Tandi, you will find the only petrol pump on Manali – Leh Highway after Manali and up to Upshi / Karu or Leh. The next petrol pump is about 365 KMs away towards Leh from Tandi. On arrival check in at hotel. Evening free to explore Keylong town. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 3: Keylong – Suraj Tal - Baralacha Pass – Sarchu (Approx 110Kms – 5Hrs Drive)
Leave Keylong early in the morning. Breakfast on the way Enroute Gemur, Jispa, Darcha, Deepak Tal and over Baralachala Pass (4800m, 15750ft).

Suraj Tal or Surya Tal is the second highest lake in India and 21st highest lake in the world. Amidst in the high hills of Baralacha La range and just below the Baralacha La pass (8 KMs before Baralacha La pass), you will find this beautiful crystal clear aqua colored sacred body of water. Suraj Tal is the source of Bhaga river and remains totally frozen and cut off in the months of winter.Early in the season i.e. June, you may find this lake to be frozen as well. As the time pass into the summers, surrounded with snow covered peaks and emitting its aqua green color as the base, the Suraj Tal looks simply breathtaking.

Sarchu is a major halt point with tented accommodation in the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway. An Indian army camp is sited nearby on the banks of the Tsarap Chu river. On reaching Sarchu check in at camp. Evening free to walk around in Sarchu. Overnight in camp. At Sarchu Camps that we provide are imported camps and clean hygienic food. You will get mattresses with Sleeping Bed & Pillow.

Day 4: Sarchu - Pang - Tsokar Lake - Thiksey – Leh (Approx 260Kms – 7Hrs Drive)
Leave Sarchu early in the morning on your bikes to Leh crossing over Naki La (4800m, 15750ft), Lachang La (5065m, 16600ft) and More Plains & reach Pang. Pang, is where you really start to see those unique looking soil formations on the mountains and special colors of Ladakh will become more prominent just around Pang and onwards.

Pang also has the world’s highest transit camps. Lunch at Pang & then we move to Tsokar Lake. The Tso Kar or Tsho kar, known for its size and depth, is a fluctuating salt lake situated in the Rupshu Plateau and valley.

Now move towards Leh over Tanglang La pass (5300m, 17388ft) which is Worlds IInd highest motorable pass. Enroute visit Thiksey Monastry. The monastery is located at an altitude of 3,600 metres (11,800 ft) in the Indus Valley. It is a twelve-story complex and houses many items of Buddhist art such as stupas, statues, thangkas, wall paintings and swords
On arrival in Leh by evening check in at hotel. Dinner & overnight stay at hotel.

Day 5: Leh Local - Leh Palace - War Memorial (Approx 30Kms)
It’s a day of easy drive & visiting local places near Leh, such as Leh Palace, Hall of Fame, Leh Local Market.

Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh. The palace was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 17th century. It is nine storeys high; the upper floors accommodated the royal family, while the lower floors held stables and store rooms.

The Hall of Fame, located near the Leh Airfiled, is a museum constructed as well as maintained by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers who had lost their lives during the Indo-Pak wars. It is also termed as a memorial for the war heros.

Day 06 : Leh - Khardungla - Shanti Stupa - SheyPalace - Leh (Approx 130Kms – 3Hrs Drive)
Move early in the morning for Khardung La to ensure that we reaches Khardung La without encountering lot of traffic. Once we reach the summit, you can take time out to get your photo taken next to the signboard which says “Khardung La, 18380 ft. (5602 m), Highest Motorable Road in the world”. After spending some time in Khardungla move back to Leh. Visit Shey Palace & Shanti Stupa.

The Shey Monastery and the Shey Palace complex are structures located on a hillock in Shey, 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) to the south of Leh in Ladakh, northern India on the Leh-Manali road. Shey was the summer capital of Ladakh in the past. The palace, mostly in ruins now, was built first in 1655, near Shey village, by the king of Ladakh, Deldan Namgyal, also known as Lhachen Palgyigon. It was used as a summer retreat by the kings of Ladakh.

Shanti Stupa was built in 1991 by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Nakamura and part of the Peace Pagoda mission. The Shanti Stupa holds the relics of the Buddha at its base, enshrined by the 14th Dalai Lama. The stupa has become a tourist attraction not only due to its religious significance but also due to its location which provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Day 07 : Leh - ChangLang La Pass - Pangong Tso Lake (Approx 160Kms – 7Hrs Drive)
Leave early in the morning for Pangong Tso Lake, Breakfast on the way to Pangong Lake (4350m, 14270ft), through Changla Pass (5288m, 17350ft), it is the third highest motorable road in the world. Arrive Pangong, which is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. Enjoy the beauty of the lake. The lake is 5 km (3.1 mi) wide at its broadest point. All together it covers 604 km2. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water. Overnight in camps with dinner.

Day 08 : PangongSu Lake - Leh(Approx 160Kms – 7Hrs Drive)
Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the morning breathtaking views of the lake. Spend some time at the Lake & now after Breakfast move back to Leh. Evening at Leisure for shopping. Overnight at Hotel with Dinner.

Day 09 : Leh - Magnetic Road - Pathar Sahib - Kargil(Approx 213Kms - 7Hrs Drive)
On day 9 we will be leaving Leh; moving towards the greener side of Jammu & Kashmir. On our way to Kargil visit Pathar Sahib & Magnetic Road.

Gurdwara Pathar Sahib, is a beautiful Gurudwara sahib constructed in the memory of Guru Nanak, about 25 miles away from Leh, on the Leh-Kargil road, 12000 ft above sea level. The Gurdwara was built in 1517 to commemorate the visit to the Ladakh region of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder Guru of the Sikh faith.

Magnet Hill is a so-called "gravity hill" located near Leh in Ladakh, India. The “Hill” is located on the Leh-Kargil-Srinagar national highway, about 30 km from Leh, at a height of 11,000 feet above sea level. The magnetic hill has become a popular stop for domestic tourists on car journeys. The alignment of the road with the slope of the background can give the illusion that cars are able to drift upwards.

Reach Kargil by evening. Overnight stay in Kargil, evening at your leisure to enjoy the local market of Kargil followed by Dinner.

Day 10 : Kargil – Srinagar (Approx 210Kms - 7Hrs Drive)
Leave early in the morning. Breakfast on the way to Srinagar and witness the Drass war memorial, built in the memory of fallen soldiers in the 1999 Kargil war, a few kms before Drass. Now we move towards Sonamarg 62kms from Drass passing the famous Zoji La pass (11,640ft), roads on the both side of the pass are in bad condition with lots of gravel, during rain the gravel turns to slush, so if you are planning to attempt this pass during rain, be prepared for some wheel spin fun! In the evening reach Srinagar through some of the magnificent vistas Kashmir is renowned for. Overnight at Magnificient House Boats with dinner.

Day 11 : Srinagar - Jammu (Approx 210Kms - 7Hrs Drive)
Leave early in the morning for Jammu. It takes about 10 hrs to reach Jammu from Srinagar. The road is beautiful, smooth and hassle free as it's being maintained by BRO. Overnight in Hotel followed by Dinner.

Day 12 : Jammu - Chandigarh (Approx 310Kms - 7Hrs Drive)
On the last day reach back to the starting point i.e. Chandigarh. The road is very good and smooth. Leave early in the morning so that we reach Chandigarh on time. Tour Ends !!
