Explore Chordung ( Virgin Trail)

One of the a large amount awe-inspiring trekking Chordung also known as Hunumatne Peak trekking is positioned on the highway of Kathmandu –Jiri (Swiss constructed). There are numerous trekking routes in east Nepal offering magnificent views as well as different types of settlement along the trial but this trek has to symbolize its own distinctiveness.

We have tried to accumulate as much as information of the area exploring the inner zone of the Chordung and in conclusion discovered Hunumante Peak located in the highest elevation above from sea level. This is a short course trekking southwest of the Rollwaling Valley, trekking around the northern side of Jiri, the starting point of Classic Everest Trekking, is considered as an easy trekking route with highest elevation of 3690 meters.

The beauty of the trek including long Himalayan ranges ie. Menlungtse ( 7181 m) Number, Everest ridges, rhododendron flowers, the local Sherpa community and many more.

One whole long hectic day drive will take you to Kahwa Danda is the starting point of the trek and ends at the bank of Tama Koshi River on the Jiri Highway , however there are few other starting points introduced by different trekking / tour operators in these days combined with Chordung which does not really represent only Chordung. Our primary aim is to promote this newly explored beautiful easy a week route autonomously.

Really so rich with flora and funa including many different species of orchids and over 250 species of birds, Himalayan monkeys, musk deer, Chordung is a home of  ancient Sherpa culture. Small in size with the ancient monasteries and colorful festivals has Tibetan influence as well.
