Experts Live Europe 2019: 5 Top Questions Answered - Part II

1. Can I get a free ticket? 

This is a question I get a lot in my inbox, or through social media channels. Unfortunately, the answer to this question (even though I really don’t like to say it) is no. We can't give out free tickets. The reason for this, is that we *really need* the conference income. We are 2 community geeks (Marcel Zehner and myself) organizing this conference for the Microsoft community. Earlier this year we did open our brand-new event management company “districtUP GmbH” and our conference is fully organized by us two under the hood of our own company. Your ticket is really to cover for the sessions you attend, food, drinks, and so on! Tickets start from 529,- and you can get them here on our website :-)

2. Do I get food & drinks as an attendee? 

Some conferences include catering, some conferences don’t. I find good catering extremely important, as this drives us through the conference for 3 full days. Therefore, catering is included within your ticket – from snacks and drinks during all coffee breaks, to warm buffet lunches during the conference days and a super delicious dinner for VIP ticket holders on Wednesday (at Hilton Cloud9), and dinner for all ticket holders on Thursday (at the venue). And of course, local Czech beers and wines during the closing happy hour on Friday. No coins, no vouchers, we ensure you have access to food and refreshments at the venue during the conference! 

3. But….can I really not get a free ticket? 

Nopes, I’m sorry, not from me, and not from Marcel ?? However, we have amazing sponsors who support our conference (some for years already!) and who occasionally organize their own raffles on their company website, newsletter or social media. Make sure you check out the conference sponsors, sign up for their newsletters, follow them on social media and you might come across a raffle where you can win a free ticket. 

4. I need to convince my company to pay for me, can Experts Live help me? 

Of course, we can. Not financially, but we can help you to hopefully get the approval from your manager. We are happy to support you by writing you a personal letter, have a phone call with your manager, or define together what you are looking for to learn and how the conference supports you with that topic and show your manager that not only you, but the company will benefit from your attendance too. 5. What is the dress code at the VIP Party and at the conference? 

The dress code is come as you are and what makes you feel comfortable (yeah sure, pajamas are allowed too why not ??) I personally love to see funny t-shirts, geeky shirts, community shirts, free shirts from sponsors and so on, as this is usually what makes me realize..YES I’m at an IT conference and I’m loving IT! Should we do a “funniest t-shirt contest”, what do you think? Let me know in the comments! 

As for the VIP Party, I personally like to neat up a little (some glitters ??) but anything casual is perfectly fine for the VIP Party as well.
