As we approach International Women's Day, I find myself reflecting on the journey we've embarked on towards achieving true inclusivity in our world. This year's theme, "Inspire Inclusion," resonates deeply with me, as it encapsulates the essence of progress we strive for every day. I am committed to fostering an environment where every woman feels valued, respected, and empowered to thrive, recognising that true inclusion extends beyond mere representation to active participation and equal opportunity.

At the heart of our efforts lies a dedication to putting people first, a value echoed in the sustainability strategies of Mazars. With 53% of our global workforce reflecting a rich tapestry of backgrounds and experiences, diversity is not just a strategic element on our business agenda—it's ingrained in our organisational DNA. We understand that diversity and inclusion (D&I) are not just buzzwords; they are the foundations of the modern firm we strive to be.

I would like to share some pointers that I believe can inspire inclusion and amplify women's voices in every sphere, aligned with Mazars' commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace:

1. Active Listening: Actively listen to women's perspectives and experiences, recognizing the value of each unique narrative.

2. Mindful Language: Be mindful of language, ensuring it uplifts and empowers rather than excludes or demeans.

3. Taking Action: Speak up against exclusionary behavior whenever and wherever encountered, knowing that silence perpetuates injustice.

4.?Inclusive Decision-Making: Ensure women are actively involved in decision-making processes within organisations.

5. Mentorship: Engage in mentorship programs to provide guidance and support for women's professional growth.

6. Flexibility: Offer flexible work arrangements to accommodate diverse needs and responsibilities.

7. Equal Opportunities: Dismantle barriers and create pathways for women to advance in their careers based on talent and merit.

8. Continuous Education: Purposefully educate ourselves on different cultures, backgrounds, and experiences to appreciate diversity fully.

9. Celebration of Achievements: Celebrate the achievements of women, recognising their contributions to our collective journey.

10. Elevating Women in Sports: As an avid lover of sports myself, I believe in the power of athletics to inspire and empower individuals. Let's encourage women and girls to participate in sports, providing them with opportunities to excel and achieve greatness on and off the field. By breaking down barriers and promoting gender equality in sports, we can create a more inclusive society where everyone has the chance to reach their full potential.

Lastly, let us leverage our networks to connect and support women, amplifying their voices and championing their cause. Together, we can build a world where every woman is empowered to reach her full potential. As we celebrate International Women's Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to inspire inclusion in every aspect of our lives. Together, we can create a future where diversity is celebrated, and every woman's voice is heard and valued.
