Expert Witness update for Chartered ICES members in North-East

A well attended CPD event for the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors North East region last night. Greg Buckley, Partner, Eversheds and Mark Hudson, Managing Director, SLS Coastway Surveys, gave a 'good, bad & ugly' CPD presentation to regional members from ICES, ICE and CIOB on both the legal and practical sides of Expert Witness in Civil Engineering litigation's.

Greg gave a detailed update on the legal issues pertaining to the duties required of an Expert Witness, whilst Mark gave a 'warts and all' practical update on what to expect when called upon to be an Expert Witness. Hopefully we didn't dissuade those who attended from stepping up to the plate when required.....??
