Experimentation in Poetry writing; An example

The below poem is my experimental work. I wanted to use the same 'pair of words' in the pattern aaba, aaca, aada, aaea and then write the climax in the last para. Thus, it would be a story where the same words would form the crux. It is off meter and rhythm. But poetry is all about trying to say everything as concisely as possible. The poem follows the lows and lows of a human life until s/he decides to pick the reins of a 'seemingly' dilapidated life in its own hands. If this intrigues you, please read below:

Yesterday someone told me that I cannot do it,

Yesterday I believed that I cannot do it,

Today I woke up to another beautiful day,

And my heart told me that I can do it.

Yet my brain was wired to I cannot do it,

It went back to the conversation which cemented that I cannot do it,

It was another beautiful day,

Still I couldn't bring up to myself to say that I can do it.

Someone's random 'I cannot do it',

Made in my mind a permanent imprint of 'I cannot do it',

No matter now how hard I try,

I just can't convince myself to 'I can do it'.

As days passed I became miserable that I cannot do it,

I sat down and thought why I cannot do it,

I realized it was all in my mind,

Brushing away the negativity I resolved that I can do it.

A little firmness in my feeble mind,

Helped all the cynicism unwind,

With a strength of iron I went back to the grind,

Believing that I will do it.
