Today, I am not sharing a specific wine or hidden appellation in Tuscany, but I'd like to share an experience I have had last Saturday at Fattoria Tègoni in Radicondoli, where I had been invited to lead a comparative tasting of Bolgheri DOC wines for a spirited group of young women.
These ladies had chosen to escape their daily routines with a weekend in the enchanting city of Siena, and as a unique day excursion, they had booked a horseback riding adventure at this local stable, culminating in a wine tasting session with me, accompanied by a platter of regional specialties.
Meeting this group was enlightening. Here were young women eager to experiment with new activities, stepping away from the conventional paths of tourism.
Their enthusiasm for immersing themselves in authentic experiences was palpable. This encounter made me reflect deeply on the evolving nature of travel.
In recent years, there's been a noticeable shift towards experiential tourism. Travelers are no longer happy with merely observing a destination; they seek to engage with it on a deeper level. Slowing down, connecting with the land, and experiencing traditions firsthand.
Fattoria Tègoni embodies this ethos perfectly. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by Bianca Trionfi Honorati, the heart and soul of the farm's marketing and promotion.?
Each year, Bianca invents new experiences for her guests. Whether it's horseback riding through the picturesque Tuscan landscape, participating in cooking classes, or savoring their organic extra virgin olive oil and Cinta Senese cold meats, visitors are treated to genuine slices of Italian life.
If you're looking for a place that offers a true immersion in the Tuscan countryside, I encourage you to explore what Fattoria Tègoni has to offer. You might just find the perfect experience for your next trip. Visit their website here!
Around Bolgheri comparative tasting included:
This comparative I have organized became an educational session on the art or tasting, lots of interest and much appreciation to the wine selection. Especially the Giochessa Bolgheri Vermentino DOC, which conquered them all!
This experience also reminded me how valuable local expertise can be when planning a trip.
If you're thinking about incorporating authentic wine and food experiences into your travels, whether for yourself or for your clients, reach out to me: I would be happy to help you craft something special.

2 天前Tasting wine is an absolute pleasure but a person simply cannot drink wine all day (and stay sober and remember what they tasted). Bonding with tourists is extremely important for creating a long term relationship. Riding horses through the beautiful countryside of Tuscany (or even sailing in the magnificent Tyrrhenian Sea) gives a wine drinker time to refresh their palate, enjoy their visit even more to Tuscany and gives a tour guide opportunity to learn about the visitor!
