Happy Saturday Everyone!!
I've written about how I view brands and how it comes down to the experience. You can check that article out [HERE]. People are the same. People remember how make them feel. When you see an old co-worker, family, or friend you recall the experiences you had. People usually don't recall you by your achievements, or your title, or what a company paid you to make a phone call seven years ago.
Treat people well. Give them a great experience. That will stick with them longer than any other thing you could possibly give them. I will not completely trash a specific company about my recent online car purchase but boy... will I tell you the insane experience I had.
Buy a car online they said. It's changing the way car buying should be they said. Well, it's definitely different. I'm the type where no matter the amount of slip ups, I understand that things happen. Every step of the way, I kept looking for a part of the experience that I could tell everyone about how great my car shopping experience was! The problem was the online car company never gave me that opportunity.
From losing my bank statements to forcing me to get a power of attorney notarized twice for the same document. Then they denied me reimbursement for the first notary. Then they blamed me because I followed their own process step by step to the T with the documents they had sent me. Then more delays and miss communications one after the next all the way through. It was absolutely the epitome of horrific. I'm still waiting on getting plates for the car.
Point is, I'll remember the experience and share my experience with people. I'm straightforward, honest and I tend to tell it like it is. If you haven’t noticed that about me yet, the sugar cookies are out of the bakery. I won't say the actual online car company’s name but it might rhythm with BOOM. Anyway, I won't ever be buying a car online again. Experience, it really does matter.
