Experience - The New "E" in Google's E-E-A-T Ranking System (SlideShare)

Having a strong internet presence and a high search engine ranking is a competitive advantage that no business should overlook. But it can be difficult to optimize your website given the constantly changing algorithm and the large number of websites competing for the top rank.

Fortunately, businesses, with the help of an SEO outsourcing company, can now better plan and evaluate their content and marketing strategy with Google's Quality Rater Guidelines.

Quality Raters assess a website's content quality using Google rules, such as the E-E-A-T. These guidelines shed light on what Google considers to be important factors for websites, user experience, and content quality.

E-E-A-T stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. These are the variables quality raters use when determining how to rank a website in SERPs.

This concept was previously known as E-A-T. Google made significant updates to the QRG in December 2022, adding another E for experience in the E-A-T. This update provides that materials that demonstrate some amount of experience will likewise be valued highly.

By knowing and understanding the standards that Google's quality raters employ to evaluate websites, you can create a sound plan for enhancing your website's content and general user experience.
