Our booth will be more than purely a research symposium; we’re also there to have a good time. That’s why visitors to our exhibition will receive free drinks, snacks, entertainment, swag, and the chance to win prizes (most notably an iPad). Our hope is that – in addition to being a hub of intellectual discourse – we will be able to create a genuinely enjoyable, extraordinary EXPO experience for the folks who choose to interact with us.?

Tuesday, September 12th:?

• 4:00 PM: Networking Event?

• Location: Lenze Booth?
• Refreshments: Beer and Pretzels?
• Activities:?
• Raffle of (2) iPads for completing an Info card and answering questions.?
• Networking and discussions with Lenze Engineers, Product Managers, and Sales Staff.?

• Giveaways: Lenze Chapstick, Lenze pens, messenger bags, and mints (other items available for special customers).?
• Chocolate-covered Oreos.?
• Coffee available for customers.?
• Automation-based ball juggling machine (no sensors) – a crowd favorite.?

Wednesday, September 13th:?

• 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM: Lenze-Sponsored Amazing Race?
• Location: Throughout the TS floor?
• Participants: College students (up to 20 teams of 3-4 students each)?
• Description: Teams race around the exhibition floor, stopping at participating booths to complete tasks created by Lenze. After each task, they take a photo with our team and share it on social media. All participants receive Lenze swag, winners receive special prizes.?
• Note: Teams will be numbered (e.g., Team 1, Team 2, etc.).?

Instructions for the Amazing Race?

Rules:?

• Team members must wear provided colored t-shirt throughout the race. No t-shirt results in a point penalty.?
• Only one team allowed in a booth at a time.?
• Teams must attempt assigned task upon entering a booth. Leaving without trying incurs a point penalty.?

• All team members must arrive together and stay for the task.?

Task Details:?

• Before the race on Wednesday, PMMI staff will deliver to your booth:?

1. A Race Participant Sign.?
2. An envelope with tasks printed for each team (tasks should be received no later than August 27).?

• Teams will be instructed to locate your designated contact(s) to receive the task. Ensure your designated contact is available from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm to assist students. They should refrain from examining the task until approached by a team.?
• If a team fails to complete a task successfully and wishes to make a second attempt, they can do so after all teams waiting in line have had their turn.?
• Each team can earn points for a task only once.?
• All team members must arrive at a booth together and remain present for the duration of the task.?

Scoring:?

• Exhibitors indicate pass/fail, not points.?
• Bonus points for tweets using exhibitor's Twitter handle or hashtag (provided on the score sheet). Use @company name or #company name format.?
