One of my core beliefs is that life is to enjoy. Do you believe that too?
Yes, there are hills to climb and rain showers to shelter from and lots of unexpected surprises. But at the end of the day, no matter what you have dealt with, who you have interacted with, or what you have done, you want to end the day with a sense of joy and accomplishment, don’t you?
Two years ago we had to change our definition of both joy and accomplishment because the pandemic totally changed our lifestyle. Since that time many people have made major shifts in their life, some even leaving full time jobs for a more authentic lifestyle.
One of my decisions since the pandemic started is to stop watching television news. I used to watch the cable channels then after the pandemic started, I switched to the local stations. I hadn’t expected to find the local stations more gruesome that national cable channels. It seemed like each channel consistently started their news program with stories on who got shot that day.
So I went back to cable news and the last time I checked, they were still talking about the same thing they talked about this time last year. Seems like a soap opera.

I don’t mean to be cynical about real world events. It’s just that there is so much more in life. And now there’s much transformation taking place as a result of something so horrible as the pandemic. Like everything in life, how you deal with it is largely based on your perspective, it’s how you choose to look at it that makes all the difference.
Today, I would like to suggest that you make a commitment to experience more joy in your life. This means adopting the attitude of joy and sharing it wherever you go.
What will it take for you to experience joy on a daily basis?
