Expectations and your destiny
In the qigong teacher training I took some years ago, our teacher often asked - "What are your expectations for the class today?". And then we discussed in the team for a while. The first time I got the question, I replied something like "nothing special ...", which in a way was true but of course I looked forward to the day but was not completely sure what was awaiting me.
Anyway, that was a trigger for my teacher to do some deeper exploration, and at that time I realized that expectations are really crucial for achieving goals, getting energy, passion and drive to do things, but also in the bigger perspective shapes the way you manage and handle challenges and thus creates your future.
I think it's somewhat like when you are a child, and goes to bed thinking - "Oooh, I just can't wait until tomorrow when I will be able to do this or that". Almost making it impossible to sleep.
Anyway, this is the blog post about expectations and how they determine ones destiny, which I have been reflecting on walking to and from office today. I highly recommend that you manage your expectations, or your expectations will determine your future.
