In this series of posts, I show a picture and ask a personal reflection question, and you can leave a comment. This picture is of the backyard paradise of a lake cottage in rural Quebec.
I was there a few years back as part of a summer vacation, and I was totally off the grid! No Starbucks, no WiFi, no cell phone signal! It was two days of pure relaxation, fun, and a chance to pause and reflect. So, as the season of summer vacations ramps up, I have a reflection question for you.
Where can you go for a pause that refreshes, and how will you unwind there? Even if you don’t have enough money to go abroad or travel in your home country, maybe you can just go to a local park? Feel free to share here where you can go and what you’ll do there to unwind.

8 年Camping (or even just hiking) in Ricketts Glen State Park right here in PA is perfection for me. The campground is right on a lake that resembles your Quebec escape. The trails include phenomenal waterfalls. No cell service = tranquility. I need to go there...SOON!!

8 年When I'm absolutely broke , I just choose to turn off my cell phone and spend an hour in the sun room in my home. I have enough wild animals to enjoy my backyard :) I think the remote connection workability is our worst enemy in relaxing ourselves nowadays...
