Teri Campbell had an awesome post today where he used a photo he took for Long John Silver years ago, combined with the Magnific Relight feature - and produced some really neat product placement renders.
So, how do I take that idea, and turn it into a more expansive lesson and exploration for my fellow Creative Professionals?
Starting with a reference image...
Teri Campbell is a food photographer. He brings years of experience and professional solutions to the table. I decided that I wanted to start with the excellent image he already produced - and use that for inspiration for my exploration.
1 ??I uploaded this image to Midjourney.
2 ??Using that image as a Reference Image in a prompt, I created additional 'shots' in a similar styling.
https://s.mj.run/Ic8fWsIZmNQ product shot for fishsticks, french fries and hush puppies in a paperlined metal basket. Background of a neutral gray. Premium studio lighting. Magazine style photoshoot. --ar 16:9 --style raw --s 350 --v 6.0
You will notice that words that should be hyphenated are not, in my prompt. The reason for this is due to tokenization and how MJ looks at individual words and hyphenated words. I talk about this with more explanation in my upcoming book. For you - don't use hyphens when prompting with AI, conjoin the word. The AI will make sense of it.
So, here is one of my results from the Image Reference + Prompt in MJ V6.
Replace the Background and Relight
I took this image to Magnific.ai
You will notice in this render, that you can see on the left hand side - a place for engaging with the platform. For the step by step:
Bar and grill with aged wood tables and bbq house decor. Golden glow of naked bulbs in a country establishment.

I did a few more, and I will share the before / during / after results below:
The possibilities of what can be accomplished with AI for the Creative Professional, are quite amazing... and this is just 1 iteration of a possible creative workflow. AI is a tool, and it serves as an amplifier to the Creative Professional who wields it well.
