“Yes.”

Yes saw me rather spontaneously winging my way to Iceland to lead the Love Trails Road Trip , a 7-day running experience for 32 runners in campers, circumnavigating this incredible island.

And two weeks later, yes gave me the opportunity to develop the well-being programme for Love Trail Festival 2022 , numerous classes across six locations, featuring a host of coaches, instructors, and teachers.

“Yes” saw my side project, the movement project , with the brilliant coach Neil Frankel , guide a tentful of people through a 4-hour immersion into mental and physical movement, play and connection.

“Yes” also afforded me the opportunity to teach dozens of runners the Oxygen Advantage? functional and simulated high altitude training breathwork class for the first time ‘in real life.’

And “Yes” brought my two biggest classes together, with over 120 people getting “High on their own supply” on Saturday night, a Wim Hof Method class with a twist of dancing and a similar number finishing the festival humming “Always look on the bright side of life.”

It’s human nature to consider how something you do today might positively change something in the future. “If I do this, then that…” In fact, much of coaching is predicated on the transformational path of change and progress. I believe expansion is critically important to our psychological well-being, fuelling meaning, relationships, and accomplishment. However, it’s also good to simply appreciate the expansion afforded by yes, for the positive emotion and engagement in the moment.
