Buildings in Florida are susceptible to damage from flooding, fire, hurricane wind forces and lack of structural repairs and restoration. Many associations lack the reserves or funds necessary for old buildings restoration and structural upgrades. This is one of the most challenging items encountered as engineers in the existing building restoration arena. More discussion to follow.
