Look, it's been a wild week in American history, full of unrest and uncertainty, and capped by a frightening assassination attempt.?If your head is spinning, we don't blame you—ours are spinning, too.
Times like these can test our resolve when it comes to civic engagement: it's so easy to get sucked into?a state of doom-scrolling and?paralysis.?
We're not here to play partisan politics; we're here to advance climate action. Whatever happens over the next few weeks, one thing is clear: the way to move forward is to take action on the things we can control.
Spreading the word about the historic climate progress we've seen over the past few years is one of the best uses of our time right now.?
Why?
According to researchers at Yale Program on Climate Change Communication , almost 80% of Americans support domestic clean energy efforts, and over 50% want to see more climate action from elected officials. But even self-identified climate-concerned folks don't know what's in the Inflation Reduction Act or other climate policies that have catalyzed real progress in our cities and states.
We can't expect Americans to show up?to protect climate policies they don't know about. The IRA is funding incredible energy projects, providing tax rebates, regulating pollution, creating jobs, and decarbonizing the economy – it's important that people know about it.
Our?new advocacy campaign, Amplifying Historic U.S. Climate Progress, starts today. This stuff only works when we do. The new Action Plan is here, so let's take a deep breath and keep doing what we do best: taking action on the critically important, no-brainer, no-regrets work with a clear-eyed focus.?

NEW Action Plan! ?? Amplify Historic U.S. Climate Progress
There is tremendous climate progress happening in America, and yet (and this might be surprising)?even?climate-concerned Americans don’t know much about it—over half are unfamiliar with the Inflation Reduction Act, the most ambitious climate law in U.S. history! Now, Project 2025 is actively encouraging the repeal of the IRA and other essential climate policies. A lack of awareness leads to indifference, and indifference leads to complacency. If we don't act, Project 2025 just might undo a lot of what we've?achieved.
This will be our focus for just 4 weeks! Start taking action right now.
