EXERCISE- THE ULTIMATE HEALTH TOOL

Benefits of Regular Exercise.


Physical exercise is essential for the maintainance of normal condition of life. Lack of natural exercise is one of the chief causes of weakness and ill –health. In recent years, the need for exercise has been recognized even in sickness. Physiotherapy and occupational therapy are standard procedures to restore use of muscles and nerves. Lack of natural exercise is one of the chief causes of weakness and ill- health.

Exercise employs the body ones wildest possible range of movement for the particular purpose of maintaining or acquiring muscle tone and control with maximum joint flexibility.

Systematic physical exercise has many benefits. Few of them mentioned below : 

1.   Basal metabolic rate and habitual body temperature slowly rise with several weeks of exercise thus leading to better absorption of nutrients from the diet.

2.   It brings about a balance in autonomic / involuntary nervous system.

3.   Stronger pulse waves, higher metabolism and better circulation as the tone of the vagus get strengthened.

4.   Improved capillary action in working of muscular and brain tissue leading to greater blood flow and resistance to fatigue.

5.   Full use of lungs in vigorous exercise can reduce or prevent lung congestion due to lymph accumulation.

6.   Better respiratory reserve is developed by persistent exercise.

7.   Gas and intra– intestinal accumulation can be reduced by exercise.

8.   Improvement in tone and function of veins.

9.   Sweating in exercise helps kidneys by eliminating the waste from the body.

10. Improvement in the quality of blood with respect to its Haemoglobin levels, alkalinity, total protein content and greater red cell count.

Good & workable tips Nidhi, exercise need not be in a gymnasium, we can do simple ones in our own surroundings ????
