?WALKATHON to benefit the
“Anthroposophical Prison Outreach”
?In recent years my wife, Mary & I have been supporting the Prison Outreach program that endeavors to help inmates overcome their anger and create a belief in their self-worth. This belief in one’s self helps them get a job when released and not become part of the recidivous statistics.? Since their founding in 2000 over 5,300 prisoners have taken part in the APO program!
I remember when I first got involved in Anthroposophy over 30 years ago.? I was recovering from a prior business failure.? I not only lost my business, but our home and my career.? I really didn’t know what to do.? I was angry and disappointed with what had happened. Then I read the same books by Rudolph Steiner and did the same type of study groups that APO sets out for the prison inmates that want to make a new beginning for themselves. ?
The mission and the hope that APO is carrying forth to those incarcerated, is to help them overcome their anger and give them belief in themselves.
So, I’m asking you now if you, like myself, have been fortunate to find some measure of success and happiness in your life, then it’s time to “pass it forward.” ?I challenge you to make whatever donation you can to APO.?
