Maxar Technologies appointed Dan Smoot as CEO of its intelligence business, taking over for interim chief executive Daniel Jablonsky. Prior to joining Maxar, Smoot was CEO of Riverbed Technology and has over 30 years of experience in the information technology and software industry.
Gen. David Allvin has been confirmed as the Air Force chief of staff after a Senate vote on Thursday. The four-star general will succeed Gen. CQ Brown, who was?confirmed as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in September. Meanwhile, Adm. Lisa Franchetti, the Navy's vice chief of naval operations since September 2022, was sworn in as chief of naval operations following her confirmation.
Mark Thompson, formerly a senior vice president at Arcfield‘s global defense and security solutions, has been promoted to president and general manager of the company sector, according to a recently published LinkedIn post.
