YOUR CV / RESUME – MUST SEPARATE YOU FROM THE CROWD?
It’s not enough for it to explain where you’ve been. Nobody will pay you for what you’ve done in the past. Someone else already paid you for that!?
You must explain what you can do for the future organisation. Where will you make a real difference; or make a significant impact for them??
Stop positioning yourself like a junior employee, looking for someone to give you a chance.?
Stop offering 20 different things you could do if that’s what they want – and hope they might select a few things from your list.
Stop trying to be anything and everything and wondering why you’re getting nothing?
START THINKING ABOUT WHY YOU ARE PERFECT FOR THE JOB
It’s not enough to be able to do something; it’s not enough to be prepared to learn new skills.?

You can’t rely on ‘20 years of experience in a discipline or sector’ to make you stand out. There are probably thousands of people who can say the same.?
If you can’t articulate, with any conviction, why you should be given the job, how could you even justify being shortlisted for it??

You have time now to get it right. But don’t aim for OK. Everyone else is OK – and you know you are worthy of much more than that!?
