Our client is a Wisconsin-based public/private organization that provides tailored, solution-based consulting services?to small and medium sized manufacturers in Wisconsin. “How To” consulting services include continuous improvement, lean/six sigma implementation, ISO certification, operational excellence, factory automation, process improvement, workforce development, export development, supply chain integration, IT integration, cyber security, leadership training, and sustainability. The Wisconsin based organization is part of a national network of manufacturing support locations operating in all fifty states. The extended organization has 1,300 manufacturing experts and 400 locations. The firm has 25 years of history, is well funded and financially sound. The organizations metrics are impressive. Last year the combined national group interacted with 27,700 manufacturers, helped manufacturers generate an additional $16 billion in sales, generated $1.7 billion in cost savings, helped companies generate $4 billion in new client investments and contributed to creation or retention 122,000 manufacturing jobs. A large percentage of the firm’s annual revenue results from repeat business from long term clients. The Wisconsin location employs 25 tenured consultants and account executives who have extensive manufacturing experience.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Executive Director and CEO, you will be responsible for development of long-term strategy, objectives, budget, and operating plans that directly impact Wisconsin small and medium sized manufacturers. You will be the face of the organization with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council (WSBC), the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) and influential manufacturing associations in Southeastern WI. You will provide counsel, career planning and support to a senior leadership team that includes the VP of Consulting Services, VP of Marketing, VP of Finance, Director of Business Development, Director of Global Engagement and Director of Sustainability & Integrated Services. Together you will continually develop new offerings based on the needs of the WI manufacturing community.?

You will report to the Chairman of the organizations board of directors. The board is comprised of manufacturing business leaders who serve at top executive levels. The boards sole responsibility is to provide advice, counsel, and resources to ensure your success and the success of the organization you will lead.
