Execution Of Multi-Party Agreement Advances Fourchon Island Development

We are excited to announce that the Greater Lafourche Port Commission has agreed to a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement with C-Logistics, an affiliated company of the Edison Chouest Offshore family, Bollinger Fourchon, and Grand Isle Shipyards.

This new agreement will open the door for a new comprehensive multi-purpose heavy industry facility on Fourchon Island. This new facility will have the ability to repair, refurbish and maintain offshore drill ships, rigs, and heavy lift installation vessels, as well as support the growing offshore wind farm renewable energy industry.

This will be not only a huge win for Louisiana, but also for the United States by capturing work that generally gets sent to heavy equipment facilities outside of Louisiana and the United States. This new facility on Fourchon Island will be a huge asset and change the game for the U.S. Gulf of Mexico. Not only will it support existing and future oil and gas related assets, but it will also assist in propelling the up-and-coming offshore wind farm facilities.

GIS is proud to be part of this historic agreement that brings exciting and great potential to Louisiana and the United States.?

“We are excited and proud to be part of this opportunity that not only will benefit and bring great potential to Louisiana, but will also be a major win for the United States as a whole to be able to capture work that is generally sent to fabrication yards outside of LA and the U.S.,”?stated Mark Pregeant II, GIS President.
