Executing Things in Parallel – Travel and Events This Week

Travel and events are very exciting, but they can make us really busy. In the past, when we had a conference or event going on, all our focus was on travel or the event we were attending. This did stall or slow down some of the other work we were doing. With time, we are learning to execute things in parallel and have different teams take ownership, so we do not have to depend on just one person or one team.

This week at DCKAP is a great example of executing things in parallel. Our team is attending 4 different events across the globe.

NAED National Meeting in Austin, TX

NAED (National Association of Electrical Distribution) is hosting their annual National Meeting at the J.W Marriott in Austin, TX from May 21 to May 23, 2024. Tim Diep , Customer Success Manager,? from our team is traveling to attend the event.?

IRX & eDX 2024, Birmingham, UK

IRX, NEC Birmingham is hosting their conference in Birmingham, UK on May 22-23, 2024. Klizer is exhibiting at the event. Enterprise Account Manager Alfred Vivek and Services Practice Leader Mohan Natarajan , are attending and exhibiting on behalf of Klizer

QATouch Global Testers Summit, Trivandrum

Our very own @/QATouch is hosting the QATouch Global Testers Summit on Wednesday May 22, at Technopark, Trivandrum, India to celebrate Global Testers Day. Zircly by DCKAP is exhibiting and Product Manager Dipthi Rajagopal is also attending the event. This is the very first in-person conference QA Touch is hosting. The team is excited to meet the QATouch User Community.

Ignite: TUG Connects 2024, Orlando, FL

The InfoR User Group event is taking place in Orlando, FL, from May 21 to May 24, and we are excited to be participating this year as well. We’re silver sponsors for this year’s event, so attendees can meet?Catherine Sulskis , Aaron Pallares, CSM and Lana Perhacs at Booth #6 at the event.

Epicor Insights, Nashville, Tennessee

Epicor is hosting their annual Insights conference on May 20 to May 24, 2024. I am in Nashville, TN to attend this event. We got an Influencer pass to this event. We are also recording a couple of live DrivenByDCKAP Podcasts. It is always nice to visit Nashville. :-)

Thinking about it, we have come a long way in terms of travel and events. We used to just do one event at a time and scramble a bit to make things happen. This time, we are executing in parallel. We need to be doing more of this if we are to run more experiments. When you do things in parallel, some will work and some will not. It is ok if it does not work every time. You can always learn from the experience.
