To Execute Great Strategy & Achieve Your Goals Very Fast...STOP DOING THESE!!

As an individual or an organization, when you have so many activities and deliverables for your team, you may eventually not achieve much as it concerns your objectives.

You are not getting younger!

For how long will you or your organization be drifting or coasting and not able to achieve impressive results that would worth your time, energy and sacrifice of your team. You will end up loosing good hands and not be able to scale.


Decide on what matters for your business or personal life!

  • There will always be so many goals that your organization will set to achieve.
  • There will always be more good ideas to scale your business than your capacity to execute.
  • Not all these good ideas will achieve the same impact on your Business or Life objectives. ?
  • Determine your most important goal and your most important idea to achieve it!


Not all goals have equal weight or importance. Even though most goals are different, they are interrelated and interconnected. We however underplay their connectedness because we do not take time to look at our processes, the end to end, and we do not adopt Systems Thinking; a holistic approach to analyzing how different parts of a system interact and how systems work within larger systems (systems thinking).

Prioritization is the Key: your job should be to firstly determine the most important thing you must get right; that one thing that when you do, it will make the rest of the other things on your list irrelevant by comparison of their results.

For example, If you set 6 goals for your organization:

  • A - 2X the number of the High Networth Customers
  • B – increase total customer base by 30%
  • C – achieve minimum CSAT score of 4 out of 5
  • D – Host at least 3 events for distributors
  • E – open 5 new branches
  • F – achieve ROI of 30%, ROA 40%

If you review your objectives for each goal, you would notice in terms of revenue, achieving A, is the most important goal, which will include C in its execution, and help achieve the objectives of B and F and might make E unnecessary or modified in the best interest of your organization.

For a lot of people, the most important goal for an organization might also be the most challenging as it would need a lot of willpower, commitment, discipline, negotiations, approvals and resources. So, what most teams do is to focus on the other goals that are easier to achieve or would not need so much resources o will power thereby, leaving the elephant in the room, their most important goal.

Focusing on the stuff that would eventually become irrelevant when you have achieved the most important goals leads to waste of resources and makes your firm perform suboptimal and behind competition.

Quick wins at times, is the Enemy of the Big wins!

Experiences and common sense are also very useful, all that matters is sincerity and willingness to make the best decision for your organization.

Now that you have decided your most important goals, you need to determine the most impactful idea (out of several options in your brain storming sessions) that will help you deliver on your most important goal.

So, instead of dispersing scarce resources and attention on all ideas, economize to max you resources on your most impactful idea with a realistic time frame to help you deliver on your most important goal!

Commitment is the recipe for Growth..and it is the elimination of alternatives.

When you achieve your most important goals, then you consider all others and determine the next most important goal.

Repeat the Process!

You don’t need to achieve all your goals, you only need to achieve the most important and most impactful ones to achieve your objectives!
