After an important meeting, summarize the discussion as soon as possible and if you are pretty clear about the next steps articulate them and act on them pronto. If you wait for a perfect moment to articulate and act, it will take much longer to complete the task and your outcome will not be much different. 

When you act on something that is fresh, it is much easier and faster. If you wait, distractions usually creep in and the momentum and excitement weakened!
