Excuses…

Why do we make excuses?
We all do it, especially when we’re thinking about starting something new. We tell ourselves that we don’t have the time, money, or knowledge. We come up with reason after reason to not do the new thing that we have in mind. Because we’re scared.
We’re so overwhelmed by the idea of stepping out of our comfort zones that our minds start to play tricks on us. It tells us that the thing that we want to do is just too dangerous. And you can bet it will help you come up with every excuse in the book to justify your fear.
I’ve seen this happen with so many promising investors in the past. And right now, it may be what’s happening to you. Although you know that investing is the path to a happier future filled with freedom, you’re too scared to take the leap.
Take a few minutes to imagine what your life will be like in five years. Assume that you’ve made absolutely no changes to your situation. You’re still exchanging time for money and you haven’t started investing yet. What does that future look like?
Do you have control over your time and choice in terms of what you get to do in life? Or are you still stuck in a job that you hate and facing all of the limiting factors that you face right now?
Your excuses stop you from taking the actions today that help you to build a better tomorrow. Every day that you waste is another day closer to that crappy future that you don’t want.
It’s time to stop making excuses.
Take action – any action – today that will move you forward.
