ICYMI: WeWork announced a new Partner Network yesterday. In the announcement they welcomed Vast Coworking 's brands ( Office Evolution , Venture X and Intelligent Office ) as the first US/Canada partners. It was also hinted that Yardi would power the network via a combo of Yardi Kube , the WeWork Workplace App and CoworkingCafe .
But what does any of that actually mean? How does it work? Why are they doing this? And what makes it different from other asset-light strategies implemented at WeWork and other flex network operators? Who else can get involved, and when? What about reciprocity?
As you can tell, we had questions.
So we invited some folks who had the answers for a chat.
In this exclusive interview Hector Kolonas ( Syncaroo ) quizzes John C. Santora (CEO, WeWork), Jason R. Anderson (CEO, Vast Coworking) and Anant Yardi (CEO, Yardi Systems) about... well... everything.

1 个月Amazing episode, Hector Kolonas! With my luxury hotel background and a focus on delivering the best hospitality service across industries, I’m beyond excited to see where our industry is heading. I hope that, rather than moving towards a monopoly, the big operators explore opportunities for affiliations similar to Marriott Hotels’s Autograph Collection—allowing independent operators to play a key role while preserving their unique character. It's encouraging to see the focus on learning from the hotel and airline industries as we move forward!

1 个月HAHAHA listening to this now. Shame you didn't mention you heard this before Hector Kolonas. I am glad WeWork is now the one playing catch up with Othership. Othership has: 1?? More spaces 2?? More accessibility 3?? More collaboration 4?? Better technology (sorry Yardi and Coworking Cafe is grim as f**k) Bet WeWork they had bought us 6 years ago now rather then fail in suing us. David Rose - who do you think wasted money now? (Anant Yardi, John C. Santora, Jason R. Anderson here if you want to talk!)
