What's your favourite thing about living in Nepal?

My favorite thing about living in Nepal is the majestic Himalayas, the world's tallest snow-clad mountain ranges. They provide an awe-inspiring backdrop to everyday life and offer endless opportunities for adventure and exploration. Alongside the natural beauty, Nepal's ancient traditions and rich cultural heritage have been preserved for centuries, making it a unique and enchanting place to live.

What is one thing you would recommend someone visiting Nepal should do?

I highly recommend spending at least a day close to the Himalayas, perhaps through a trek or a scenic flight. The experience of being near these mountains, particularly during sunrise or sunset, is nothing short of magical.

What's one piece of advice you would give someone visiting Nepal?

Come with an open mind. In Nepal, flexibility is key, and whether your plans are meticulously arranged or completely spontaneous, you'll find that everything has a way of working out.

Nepal's TOP 3 Highlights:

  1. Stunning Landscapes: Nepal's diverse landscapes range from the towering Himalayas to lush plains. Trekking routes like the Annapurna Circuit and Everest Base Camp offer breathtaking mountain views, while areas like Pokhara and Chitwan National Park provide serene lakeside and jungle scenery.
  2. Warm and Hospitable People: Nepali people are known for their friendliness and hospitality. Diverse ethnic groups, including Sherpas and Newars, enrich the cultural tapestry with unique traditions and languages. Engaging with locals in markets or villages offers a warm and enriching experience.
  3. Rich Culture and Heritage: Nepal's cultural heritage is evident in the historic Kathmandu Valley, filled with ancient temples and monuments. Vibrant festivals like Dashain and Tihar, along with traditional arts, music, and dance, offer a captivating glimpse into the country's rich cultural life.

Best time to visit Nepal?

The best times to visit Nepal are during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. Spring brings warm weather, blooming rhododendrons, and clear skies, ideal for trekking and outdoor activities. Autumn, after the monsoon, offers the clearest skies and moderate temperatures, making it perfect for trekking, cultural tours, and enjoying the spectacular mountain views.

Best dish/food for anyone to try?

One of the best dishes to try in Nepal is the Nepali Thali, a traditional meal that includes rice, lentil soup (dal), vegetable curries, meat (optional), pickles, and yogurt. Another must-try is Mo Mo, which are Nepali-style dumplings filled with meat or vegetables and served with a spicy dipping sauce.
