How to sign up for FPL

1.???? To play Fantasy Premier League (FPL) for the first time, you must register on the FPL website. If you've yet to do that, head over to www.fantasy.premierleague.com. Once there, click 'Sign Up Now’.

2.???? There's an easy three-stage registration process, starting with the Personal Details page. In this section, enter an email address, set up a password and fill in your personal details such as name, date of birth and country.

3.???? Once that's done, you can move on to the next step: Your Favourites. Here, you can select a favourite club and choose other teams to follow – you know what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer!

4.???? Important to note - in the Email Preferences tab, you can select whether you want to receive communications from your favourite club(s). Once you have completed this step and confirmed your email, you are ready to start picking your squad.

5.???? Lastly, have FUN! Pick your squad and select players from across the Premier League and remember do not go over your assigned budget! Once your squad is set, select the option to join a specific league and input the following code – tbnm7l – to become part of the DStv league. How to gain points

Managers in Fantasy Premier League earn points from their players for a number of actions. These include goals, assists, clean sheets and saves. Points can also be deducted for actions such as red and yellow cards, own goals and penalty misses.

The accumulated points from across your squad will add up to a weekly total. This is the ‘yard stick’ for how well your squad has performed, and every Friday, DStv – as part of its ‘Friday Fantasy Football’ campaign – will announce the top five managers.
